Celestia slowly opened her royal eyelids. She really hated that moment when she needed to wake up before the sunrise and make the sun appear in the sky. She was the Princess but everypony in Equestria could sleep a little bit longer than her!

She scrambled out of the bed and continued her usual morning routine.

“Hey, sister. Have a nice day,” Princess Luna greeted her and then entered her chamber without waiting for a response. Luna was sleepy as well.

Chapter 7

To Rarity, it seemed that a beautiful day only served to provide the final irony to what had been the most confusing and unsettling day of her young life. After all, the early afternoon sun was shining brightly, the sky was an absolutely gorgeous shade of blue, and the citizenry of Ponyville was out in force to enjoy the day. Had they no shame? Had they no discretion? Sensitivity? Tact?

Had they no idea? It was a sobering, although entirely true, she realized, thought that nopony outside their tight-knit circle of friends and a few choice others were even aware of what had transpired. For them, the world was just as bright and sShattered - Chapter 7 by *BronyNeumo

 “Gimme that!” Spike shouted, trying to put his claws on a cookie jar held by Twilight in her magical aura.

“No!” she said firmly, moving the jar away from her assistant. “I’m not going to listen to your groans of agony for another night! You ate too much already! You’re gonna have a stomach ache anyway!”

“So, what’s the problem then!?” he asked, leaping at the jar, missing it and hitting a writing desk. “Ouch!”

“I said ‘no’!” Twilight looked at the jar, while Spike was rubbing his hurt forehead. She smiled and began casting a spell.

Rainbow Stratos Rainbow Dash had no idea what the reason was for Cloudsdale cloud overproduction, but she knew that she was responsible for keeping the sky clean. During such days, her jobs seemed to be horribly pointless. She had realized a long time ago (thanks to Twilight) that the black clouds were byproducts from Cloudsdale weather factories, what in fact made her a garbagepony. Luckily for her, there was a problem with white clouds only. Long working hours, however, made her want to sleep all the time.

This day she was taking a nap before she actually started doing any work.
